Frank Whalen has been fired from every radio job he has ever had, for a lack of conformity. He moved to Fayetteville Arkansas in December of 1999. He was tired of working for big corporate radio and came to a small independently owned radio station. He started his show as a normal morning rock radio show and then changed the format to paranormal interviews. On September 11, 2001 Franks show was the only one who did not go to a news wire feed. He stayed on the air four hours longer to report what was happening. After that, listeners started to call in the show to talk about what had happened. That was the start of the Topic of the Day. In the months after 9/11, Frank tried to make sense of what happened; and came to find out from a number of guests, there was something really wrong with the world.
